‘Wet Wheels Yorkshire’ is a charity that raised £160,000 to buy and equip a specially adapted power boat to enable people with severe and profound disabilities to take to the sea. Speaking on Bridlington Gold, Peter Richardson, chairman of ‘Wet Wheels Yorkshire’ said “The Wet Wheels boat was launched in Bridlington Harbour in 2018 and is based in Whitby, the boat travels all along the east coast providing an amazing adventure and unforgettable experience for disabled people.” Peter went on to say “The Wet Wheels boat will be returning and paying a visit to Bridlington in the summer and he hopes, in the future, they will be able to add making trips from Bridlington to their schedule.”
