Under 5s Go Wild are back at Sewerby Hall and Gardens for 2023, with fun activities for Under 5s and their grown-ups, to accompany the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition.
The next special Activity Day on the theme of nature will be on Friday, 16 June. There will be a morning story time on an animal theme, with North Bridlington library staff; fun music with Kathy Seabrook (nursery rhymes, singing, dancing, and a chance to play percussion); and animal art with Claire West, a chance to make bright, bold art about animals.
All these activities will take place in the Orangery – there is no need to book, just turn up.
In addition, every day during the run of the exhibition (until Sunday, 16 July), young visitors can pick up and borrow a Garden Explorer Pack from the Welcome Centre and investigate the beautiful gardens. There will also be a daily opportunity to Hunt for Big Bugs in the house – minibeasts have taken over, and the challenge is to find them all!
In the zoo, there are daily afternoon feeding sessions, with a chance to learn more about the lemurs, coatis, penguins and hoof stock.
Lucy Cooke, Under 5s learning co-ordinator, said : “Our youngest visitors and their families are already enjoying the stunning Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at Sewerby Hall and Gardens, and this exciting and fun programme of activities will ensure that they have a great time during their visit – and learn about animals and nature at the same time!”
