Bridlington Round Table’s Santa sleigh will be doing its annual tour of the streets of Bridlington, starting on Sunday the 6th of December.
Over the years, the Round Table’s Santa sleigh has raised thousands of pounds for charity. Unfortunately, this year, like many other things, due to Covid19, changes to the usual format have had to be made. Bridlington Round Table issued the following statement:
“This year will be very different. Unfortunately, we cannot give sweets out, and any donations, on the evenings, must be put in bags, before being handed to us.
Santa is very vulnerable, so he will not be able to leave the sleigh, this year, but you are more than welcome to take photographs/selfies from a safe distance (2 metres).
We are hoping that we can get a digital platform online, for donations, but will be happy to accept donations in individual bags posted into one of our collection buckets, on the night(s).
Santa has had to limit his helpers to just three each night, so please be patient with us.
We don’t intend to beat any records, this year, we intend to spread happiness, joy and hope and in doing so, boost the town’s morale.
Santa sends Bridlington all his love and asks, please stay safe”
