Humberside Police posted the following to their Facebook page:
“Last year, Halloween and BonfireNight looked very different, with organised events cancelled and the public urged to stay indoors and away from those outside of their household.
To the delight of many, that is not the case this year, and whilst not all organised events are back up and running yet, people will be able to make once again most of the occasions with friends and family. 🎃 🎆
This period is always one of our busiest, and understandably this year we expect it to be busier than last, due to more people being out and about. However, we would like to offer reassurance to those who are looking to enjoy Halloween and Bonfire Night or those that prefer not to, and a stark reminder to those intent of causing harm or committing offences, that we are out in force and ready to act against anyone spoiling others’ fun.”
