Friday the 24th of September is the date for this year’s ‘Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning’, in aid of Macmillans Cancer Support.
Last year would have been the Coffee Mornings 30th anniversary, but unfortunately, due to the Pandemic, events, other than virtual Zoom meetings, were cancelled.
Speaking on Bridlington Gold, Laura Holohan, one of the Macmillan Cancer Support Fundraising Team, for this area, said “Following the disappointment of last year and the loss of much needed funds, we as a charity, are hoping that everyone will rally round to make this years event an extra special one. The charity relies on public support and donations to fund the amazing work that it does to help people suffering from cancer and their families, with not only the brilliant Macmillan nurses, but also through grants for things such as heating and transport costs, when people need it most.” She went on to say “Anyone wishing to host a coffee morning, on the 24th of September, or indeed any other day, can register and receive a ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning Fundraising Pack’ by going to: macmillan.org.uk/coffee
