Courtney Vernon, daughter of missing Bridlington man, Damion Vernon, posted the following on Facebook:
“Please share this far and wide. It will mean the world to me and my family for this to spread again x
“9 years ago today we declared my dad missing. There’s been no sightings, no leads, no way to turn and every single path has been a dead end. Someone somewhere knows what happened that day. No one can disappear on their own.
“This man is now a grandad, he’s missed out on both his daughters growing up. He’s missed out on his family achieving things, seeing his nieces, nephews, siblings, cousins and friends go through life.
“Its unfair & I will never ever let it rest.
If anyone anywhere has any information that could be slightly helpful, please do not hesitate to ring 101, or contact a family member anonymously.
“If you’ve heard a rumour, if someone’s told you anything… Every small bit of information is more helpful than none.
“This man was an amazing man, he had the biggest heart and he loved so greatly. He ripped our whole family apart when he disappeared. He will be forever missed and as a family all we want is to know, we just want closure and we DESERVE it.
“Read the poster, there’s a confidential line on how to report things. You can text or call.
“Please out of the goodness of your heart stop putting us through this agonising torture.
“Anyone that wants to read dad’s story or get more insight into what’s happened just search “Damion William Vernon Missing” on the Internet and you can read all about it x
“Damion William Vernon I am so sorry this life failed you dad, I’m sorry on everything you’ve missed out on and I’m sorry we haven’t found justice yet. I will forever be your princess xxx”
