The Christ Church Bridlington Network are currently raising money by doing sponsored litter picking to ‘twin’ their toilets.
Speaking on Bridlington Gold, the Reverend Oli Preston explained that “toilet twinning is a charity that works with partners in developing countries to help people to build clean, safe toilets and taps. For each donation of £60, the charity works with communities to teach them about the benefits of good sanitation, and to train and equip them to build safe toilets, and WE get a certificate to put up in one of OUR toilets.
We aim to ‘twin’ every toilet in each of our buildings, that’s 31 toilets and almost as many taps, so we will need to raise approximately £3600.
We have already made a good start with our sponsored litter picking, raising over £500 and a recent squat exercise challenge carried out by a small team raising almost £400.”
If anybody would like to get involved with this, to help raise much needed funds or simply to make a donation, they will find more details at: ccbn.org.uk or by contacting Reverend Oli Preston on his email address: opreston@ccbn.org.uk
