The annual event, which takes place in October, which attracts thousands of visitors to the town and boosts its economy, has had to be cancelled, due to the current pandemic. The Bridlington Leisure Association have issued the following statement:
“After discussing at length with the YSA we believe that under the current COVID restrictions this years scooter rally in Bridlington can not take place safely.
We feel to do so would be putting the towns businesses and peoples lives at risk.
Bridlington is our priority and we want the best for this town and this would not be worth the risk to the town and the people who live here”.
