The new owners of Bondville Model Village have set a date for the grand re-opening.
Mark & Rachel Hill completed the purchase of Bondville Model Village last October, and from then on it’s been all systems go with work to refurbish and restore the popular tourist attraction to its former glory.
Along with the Site Manager, family and friends, plus several recruited helpers and a lot of hard work, the end is now in site and a date has been set for re-opening to the public on Wednesday the 1st of May.
Speaking on Bridlington Gold Radio’s Breakfast Show, Rachel said how buying the model village and tea rooms wasn’t pre planned but came about purely by accident when, as she put it, “I was having a cuppa and a scroll”.
When she saw on the internet that the visitor attraction, at which she herself and her children had spent many happy hours in the past was for sale, the opportunity was: “just too good to miss”.
Rachel went on to say “everyone I have spoken to since, all have a story to tell and happy memories of their own visits. My family and I hope that our hard work will create more happy memories for young and old in the years to come”.
