East Riding Leisure will be taking part in International Learn to Swim Week from 9th – 15th May.
East Riding Leisure will be showcasing the reasons why learning to swim is so important throughout the week, with activities and themes highlighted during the week-long campaign. The Week is run in partnership with the Swimming Teachers Association, with a focus on preserving life by promoting the teaching of swimming and survival techniques.
By taking part, East Riding Leisure will globally unite with other partners to educate and promote the importance of learning to swim and how to #LoveWaterSafely.
Activities included will be:
Tuesday, 9th May – Celebrating Teachers
Wednesday, 10th May – Open Water
Thursday, 11th May – Baby Swimming
Friday, 12th May – First Aid
Saturday, 13th May – Water Safety
Sunday, 14th May – Diversity and Inclusion
Monday, 15th May – Mental Health and Wellbeing
There will also be the chance to win a free block of children’s and adults’ lessons with a social media competition running during the week. Winners will be announced on 16th May.
Anybody taking Swimming Lessons is also entitled to FREE casual swimming.
