People of Bridlington are being warned to be on their guard for anyone knocking on their door claiming to be a tradesperson and offering to carry out work on roofing, driveways, general garden maintenance etc. following a number of incidents in the area. People are advised to only use reputable companies that they contacted themselves. Anyone being approached by cold callers, knocking at their door, is being asked to politely refuse any offers of work and to contact the police on the non-emergency number: 101 and report the incident.
