A driver, who was trapped in their car following an accident, had to be cut free by Humberside Fire & Rescue Service. A statement issued by Humberside Fire & Rescue said “The single vehicle collision happened on Grindale Lane, near Bridlington, at just after 5am on the 22nd of May. The vehicle was stabilised by fire crews using chocks, wedges and mechanical arms. The trapped driver was released using hydraulic spreaders and manually lifted from the car onto a patient board and into a waiting ambulance. A passenger in the vehicle had managed to free themselves before the arrival of the fire crews.” Both casualties were taken to hospital. No further information is available.

Officers from East Riding of Yorkshire Council held a street surgery in Bridlington, on Monday 18 November, to canvass residents on anti-social behaviour in their
