Man charged in connection with local burglaries

According to Humberside Police, a 33 year old Cleckheaton man, named as Adam Virr, has been charged in connection with two burglaries and one count of theft of a motor vehicle. This comes after items were reported stolen from a property on Cardigan Road and a car reported stolen from a property on Lansdowne Road, in Bridlington. Also items were reported stolen from a garage in the village of Wetwang.

The man has been remanded to appear before Leeds Magistrates.

In an effort to reassure local residents, Humberside Police have stepped up patrols in the areas and ask that residents ensure doors and windows are secure and that no valuables or car keys are left on show.
