LOCAL GROUP ARE ‘BRIGHTENING UP BRIDLINGTON’

The ‘Brightening up Bridlington’ local community group is made up of a number of local people who give their free time to organise and take part in things like; litter picks, renovating old railings and combating graffiti in order to keep the town looking bright and welcoming to both visitors and residents alike.

Speaking on Bridlington Gold, Martyn Coltman from the group said “The group was established in 2014 and is made up of volunteers that work in partnership with the council to help keep Bridlington tidy and brighten up the town. The group meets once a month on the third Saturday of the month outside Bridlington Spa at 10am and anyone is welcome to come along and join in.” Martyn went on to say, “If anyone would like to suggest an area that may need some attention, whether it be a park or open space in need of a litter pick, if they have seen any graffiti that needs removing or if they would like more information about the group then please get in touch with us via our Facebook page, which they will find by searching ‘brightening up bridlington’ on Facebook.” You can also contact the group via Bridlington Gold by emailing: info@bridlingtongold.co.uk
