BRIDLINGTON MOTHER & SON LAUNCH “KICKS FOR KIDS” PROJECT

A Bridlington Mum and her 11 year old son are helping other children by creating goody bags and care packs.

Nicky Rudd has started a new project, in the town, called “Kicks For Kids”. The idea came about after Nicky’s best friend, who is a serving police officer in London, told her how she had been going from house to house, during lockdown, giving children toys and gifts.

Nicky, her son, William and partner, John, decided to do something similar to help less fortunate children, in and around Bridlington, and so began the “Kicks For Kids” project.

They have already created their first 30 bags containing items such as toys, crayons, colouring books and other goodies.

They have donated the bags to “The Hinge Centre” in Bridlington to distribute them to children who will benefit from them.

Nicky told Bridlington Gold Radio that the first lot of bags were funded by themselves, but in order to continue, they are trying to raise funds by holding online raffles and by setting up a “Go Fund Me” page.

Nicky went on to say that if anyone would like to donate items, to go into the bags, or raffle prizes, they would be most welcome.

If you wish to make a donation, via the “Go Fund Me” page, go to: https://gofund.me/b6a25ea6
